We were very impressed with Arbor Terrace of Asheville. Cathy is exceptional as Director of Sales and Marketing. The rest of the staff were incredibly friendly. Reception greeted us by name even the first time we walked in. Residents were some of their best sales people and raved about living there. It is a really nice facility that feels more like "home" and less of an institutional setting. Ultimately, we chose another property mostly because they had a 2 BR unit available that we felt would be a better transition for 2 parents and Arbor Terrace only had a large studio available at the time. There was never a high pressure/false sense of urgency. They (and Cathy especially) were focused on helping us find the best situation. Highly recommend checking this out if you are looking for an Assisted Living/Memory Care facility in the Asheville area.
As you walk through the doors, the facility is extraordinarily clean and well maintained. The initial impression is a comfortable and a home-like atmosphere. Gina, at the reception desk, greets everyone warmly which adds to feeling this community is home rather than an institution.
More important than the physical facility is the team that runs the community. We had been on the waiting list for several years but kept deferring the move. Cathy, Community Sale Director, would call to check in when an apartment was available as a geniune welfare inquiry. Finally, after four (4) years, we had a need to make the transition to memory care.
While the transition definitely had some unforeseen issues, Cathy and the rest of the team worked "magic" to alleviate as much stress as possible.
The entire team that we had initial contact included Diane, Cathy, Gina, Ken, Hannah, Christy, and Tania . Each offered incredible patience and respect to make the transition as smooth as possible. These individuals are highly trained, truly kind and have a passion for caring for a special population.
I feel very confident that the care provided, both now and in the future, will be exemplary.
I came to Arbor Terrace with my daughter and son and met with Cathy who was warm and welcoming. She sat with us and answered all of our questions with a genuine honesty and caring. We took the tour with her and was delighted to meet staff and those living there and welcomed their positive comments. I was very happy to see the options that are available. It is a welcoming and warm environment. Thank you Cathy for your help in making a very hard decision.
I had an amazing first visit to Arbor Terrace. Cathy showed me the whole place and I was very impressed. I met about seven residents and about as many staff; they all seemed very happy and told me that they love being there. I am looking for a place for my 85 year old mom and I think this might be the right one; i have toured six other assisted living places and this is my favorite. I will leave another review if my mom moves in.
This week I dropped into check out Arbor Terrace. Fortunately, for me Cathy was just arriving to her job and warmly welcomed me. She asked just the right questions our needs for memory care. She then proceeded to give me the grand tour of the very friendly staff. As we toured I noticed how well this place was cared for as well as how happy the residents were. What was very impressive as the staff new all the residents names. I was also amazed that most of the staff had been working there for more than five years. That means to me they are appreciated by there employer. The residents rooms were lovely in both Memory Care and Assisted living. Needless to say I walked away very impressed and we definitely will consider putting our family member here
