Debra Ipp★★★★★7 months agoI highly recommend Pearl House Assisted Living for anyone considering care options for a loved one, especially if you are deciding between a small residential home and a large corporate facility. After initially placing my aunt in a well-known corporate residence, I can personally attest that the level of care she received at Pearl House was far more loving, attentive, and personalized.
From the very beginning, Rhoenna Campbell-Robinson, the owner and administrator, was a pleasure to work with. She made my aunt feel comfortable from day one, which greatly eased her transition and helped her quickly feel at home.
Pearl House accommodates a maximum of just six residents, allowing for a much more favorable caregiver-to-resident ratio. This intimate setting ensures that each resident’s medical, nutritional, and emotional needs are truly understood and thoughtfully attended to. The caregivers are familiar with every individual, which results in a level of care that is both exceptional and deeply personal.
One of the main reasons I moved my aunt was due to a noticeable decline in her physical and mental health, along with frustration over poor communication at the larger facility. At Pearl House, that experience was completely different. Rhoenna consistently kept me informed about any changes in my aunt’s condition and took the time to clearly explain the outcomes of doctor visits and care decisions. That transparency and communication meant a great deal to me.
Perhaps the most meaningful improvement was in my aunt’s emotional well-being. She truly loved living at Pearl House because it felt like a home, not an institution. She had a spacious bedroom and bathroom, enjoyed meals in a formal dining room, relaxed in a cozy family room, and spent time on the outdoor porch with other residents. The warm, welcoming environment made a significant difference compared to the larger facility, where she often felt lost and disengaged.
In closing, I encourage families to look beyond polished sales pitches that promise exceptional care. In many large facilities, staffing shortages can impact on the quality of attention residents receive. At Pearl House, the care is genuine, consistent, and heartfelt.
I will always be grateful for the compassion and dedication Rhoenna, and her staff showed my aunt through the final chapter of her life. I wholeheartedly recommend Pearl House Assisted Living to anyone seeking a truly caring and supportive environment for their loved one.
I highly recommend Pearl House Assisted Living to anyone looking for truly personalized care for a loved one. After first placing my aunt in a large, well-known facility, I saw a significant difference when we moved her to Pearl House.
With only six residents, the caregiver-to-resident ratio allows for attentive, individualized care. Rhoenna Campbell-Robinson, the owner, was wonderful to work with and made my aunt feel comfortable from day one. She also kept me consistently informed about my aunt’s health, which gave me great peace of mind.
The biggest improvement was my aunt’s overall happiness. Pearl House truly feels like a home—warm, welcoming, and engaging—unlike the larger facility where she often felt lost.
I’m incredibly grateful for the compassionate care my aunt received through her final days. I wholeheartedly recommend Pearl House to any family seeking a more personal and caring environment.
