JB★★★★★7 months agoAfter researching and touring several assisted living facilities for my elderly mother, I visited NorthWood Manor, and immediately knew this was the smaller, home - like setting I have been searching for. It just felt right.
The administrator Shereve Smith gave me a tour where I met both residents and staff, and I could instantly sense the warmth personal care. I placed my mom there in the summer of 2010, and she truly thrived. For about a year she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for before we eventually lost her due to medical conditions. I will always be grateful for the love and compassion she received during that time.
Over the years, I would occasionally stop by just to say hello - they really felt like family.
Fast forward 14 years, and I once again find myself in the role of caregiver, this time for my mother-in-law. Without hesitation, I reached out to NorthWood Manor, hoping they might have availability. I was so relieved to reconnect with Shereve and find that a spot had opened.
Although my mother-in-law had a more complex medical needs, she receive the same level of attentive, compassionate care, as my mother did years earlier.
When you find something truly special, you stick with it and that’s exactly what NorthWood Manor has been for me. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring, intimate environment for their loved one.
The owner and staff are amazing. They are all very caring, compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable. The facility is always clean and has a positive atmosphere. I have peace of mind knowing that my dad is well cared for. I know he is in the right place!

This is an excellent assisted living group home for those who are seeking a safe and close knit living environment for their elderly loved one. The care and attention that they have provided my grandmother is beyond words. I drop by unannounced and sporadically throughout the year and my grandmother is always well groomed and in good spirits. The home facility has always been clean and well furnished and very comfortable. Most residents who stay there have been there for many years. My grandmother has been living there for over 3 years and she is 109 years old. The care she has been receiving has allowed her to thrive there. Everyone at the home is friendly and supportive. Shereve is the owner/manager and she does an excellent job advocating for the residents and making sure the appropriate care and attention is being provided. I would highly recommend NorthWood Manor ALF as an assisted living facility.
T P★★★★★a year agoLooking for a beautiful caring environment for your loved one, Northwood Manor is a perfect selection! The staff are so compassionate. The environment is a home like environment, extremely clean and efficient. Choosing a care team for your loved one can be stressful and cause anxiety, go meet with Northwood, they will immediate alleviate any fears of placing your loved one!
My friend is being well taken care of by a dedicated, caring staff. I have seen improvements in his physical and mental health. For having to go through this trying time in his life, I'm comforted that we found Northwoid Manor, and have a knowledgeable, committed staff in our corner !
