Karen Haslam★★★★★3 months agoOur mother has been living at Alto for almost a year now. She absolutely loves it there. She has made many new friends and doing great overall. She loves participating in all the daily activities. We feel she is safe and being well taken care of. The entire staff is amazing! Their care for the residents is above and beyond. They truly do care for not only the residents but the families also by making you feel welcome every time you walk in. They keep you in the loop of all that is going on and include you also in the activities. It is wonderful seeing how happy and well taken care of our mom is (and the other residents as well) when we visit her. We highly recommend Alto if you're looking for an ALF or memory care facility.
Bill Chapogas★★★★★4 months agoi am caring for my second family member who has been living at Alto for twenty months. I cannot say enough good about the facility. Spotless everytime i visit. The restaurant has enough variety where i can visit many times and have everything from Salads, Sandwiches, Soup, very good Daily specials. You can see and taste the care in the food. What impresses me most about Alto is the Staff. I could never do what they do. Everyone knows my uncle from where he is to the mood he is in. I would give the staff, activites director, and director ten stars for trying to imporve the residents lives. Many of us will live long enough to need an "Alto" facility. As I tell my uncle, it's life, just not the good part.
After visiting for over five years- My wife and i have discussed this facility and we both agree, if we must go to a facility, this place ain't bad.

The facility is clean, welcoming, and provides a safe and comfortable environment. We have great peace of mind knowing our loved one is receiving excellent care. Highly recommend!
SRiley★★★★★7 months agoAlthough my parents' stay was brief, I loved the ALF here. The people were amazing, they know everyone by name, it's a wonderful atmosphere and they have ton of activities. After my mom passed away, the support from the staff was beyond measure; especially when my family and extended family from all over descended on them in order to comfort dad and be together. It was the hub until after mom's funeral and the Alto family went out of its way to help. I was amazed at the outpouring of love and assistance, when one of the staff said "We are family." That touched me, and it's true. Ultimately, I moved Dad closer to me and my family (Alto was over an hour away); he and mom were married 63 years and the path of coping with this loss will be long; forever. He needs us and we need him! I wish I could have picked Alto up and moved it! We all felt so special at Alto and they were so good and caring to my mom and dad. However, moving Dad closer we see him so much more and he comes over to our house every weekend for cook outs, dinners, etc. The Alto family will always have a special place in our family's hearts. His new location is nice, and the people are nice too, and he's only been there a couple of weeks; but we do miss the people at Alto. I wanted to relay what a great experience we had with Alto Tavares, it is very well deserved.
k Od★★★★★3 months agoMy parents chose Alto Tavares (previously called Osprey Lodge) about 6 years ago. They needed assisted living. My mother died a few years after they moved in, but my 96 year old father has maintained his health. The many reasons are due to the executive director Michael Hurwitz. Under his successful leadership, the beautiful facilities, hard-working staff, professional nursing care, and business management have resulted in outstanding resident care and award-winning acclaim in the community. Residents enjoy delicious chef-prepared meals. The enjoyable activities include frequent musical entertainment, delightful daily games, special bus excursions, and extravagant special events. They are at home, comfortable with friends, in a community of excellent apartments and facilities.
Like many families, I enjoy visiting my father. We both feel fortunate he lives at Alto. I recommend Alto Tavares to any senior who wants to have a welcoming, comfortable home. After settling in, they achieve the personal enjoyment of life as they chose it.
