THIS IS AN EMERGENCY BROADCAST!!! ALARMING!!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE! THEY MAY DIE OR SUFFER EXTREME HARDSHIP! Florida Elder Affairs or Agency of Healthcare Administration please open an investigation immediately for all patients in this facility! NEGATIVE INFINITY STARS! My mother is now back in the hospital. She almost died from being neglected at Blue Palm for two weeks after being discharged here from the hospital. I am trying to reach Blue Palm Administration to retrieve her medical records. No one answers and the voicemail box is full. Emails to the Social Worker at Blue Palm are not responded to. Patients are screaming for help. EX; Bedridden patient needs water, complains does not get enough to drink = Staff remarks "If they do not drink as much, you do not have to change the depends as often". Unsupervised patient needs help off the toilet and assisted back to bed because she was abandoned on the toilet for over an hour and forgotten about. Patient is crying that they are hungry and food has been there for over an hour but no one has fed them. Nurse call button takes 10-15 min to respond if they respond AT ALL. The facility smells of feces due to patients lying in their waste. Staff is rude, seems bothered to help if asking for assistance, and will not give any information to family, POA/ Medical Surrogate regarding loved one. The staff seem to enjoy spending time on their phones, talking amongst each other, and having their shoes off. If the response from Blue Palm received from this post is to contact Administration then you can kick rocks! This facility needs their license removed, never reinstated and needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law! Families beware and if you have a loved one here, remove them ASAP!
My sister lived at Blue Palms until her recent passing. She loved it there. We had her memorial service there and the activities director, Dee, and her team were amazing! They came in and took over. They arranged tables, provided table cloths, prepared plates and served residents, guidance with pre-planning and set up, and lots of hugs and support to our family. They came in, set us at ease and allowed us to be with family and friends who are there to remember and honor my sister. Thank you to all who made her time there such a blessing. You guys were a gift to Teresa and to her family.
Came with 5 goals 3 months ago, all met! Assisted Living administrator Dawn Grady exceeds expectations addressing my needs and wants. Areas have been, are, and will be renovated. Appealing and nutritious food. Housekeeping and laundry done for me, yah! Interesting and lots of recreational activities. Imperfections exist, even so, I have a life here I couldn't have at home and can be as independent as my functioning allows. Other places I explored...this was the best.
Very Friendly Staff, Didn't know it has Independent Living, Assisted living ,and Physical Rehab Services, a gym, and a full size Pool. Pretty Big place, well kept and clean. Mom's Happy
Today was the first time I came here. And I had called before coming. It’s Saturday so the front desk person is T White, so polite. She is so helpful, the way she Represents your facility it’s very professional. I called during the week because my mother is here for a treatment and barely got anyone to answer the phone but when I call today I was treated with the upmost respect And politeness.
