Finally, someone is speaking up about these concerns.
Unfortunately, my experience has been just as disappointing. When a loved one is sent to the hospital, the way the 45-day notice policy is handled raises serious concerns about whether residents are being given a fair opportunity to return. As a family member, that is extremely frustrating and concerning.
In my opinion, the Tamarac location has been a major disappointment. Belinda has not adequately addressed my concerns, and I would rather take my money elsewhere, where I feel confident that my dad is receiving the care, respect, and attention he deserves.
I have also been disappointed with the professionalism and communication from nursing staff. Calls and messages often go unanswered, and the lack of follow-up is unacceptable. When families raise questions or concerns, they deserve to be heard and taken seriously. Instead, I have felt that Belinda sides with Suni rather than making a genuine effort to address the issues being brought to her attention. Who is advocating for the residents and their families?
The cleanliness of the facility is another major concern. The building has unpleasant odors, and the carpets appear dirty and poorly maintained. For a facility that families pay good money to use, the environment should be clean, comfortable, and properly maintained.
Families deserve professionalism, accountability, clear communication, and, most importantly, confidence that their loved ones are being treated with dignity and respect. We should not have to repeatedly chase staff for answers or struggle to have legitimate concerns addressed.
Overall, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Based on my personal experience, I would rate this location 1 out of 5 stars and would not recommend it to other families seeking care for their loved ones.
I honestly question whether there is effective HR oversight at this Tamarac location. The lack of professionalism and concern for patients is extremely disappointing.
When I received a call regarding my bill, the individual who identified themselves as a BOM spoke to me with an unprofessional attitude and was dismissive throughout the conversation. It was an unpleasant experience, especially when discussing an important matter.
Additionally, during my recent visit, I noticed that no nurse came to assist me. I also observed a staff member, who appeared to be a nurse, I believe her name is Suni, smoking on the premises, which raised concerns about the professionalism and standards being upheld at this location.
Overall, my experience left me feeling that patient care and professionalism are not being taken seriously. I hope management addresses these concerns and works to improve both customer service and staff conduct.
My mom lived in this center for about one month before passing away. The staff has been superb. From the cooks, and nurses, all the way up to the director, they showed great diligence, medical knowledge, compassion, and friendliness to my mom and to me, her only son. The facility is kept very clean. The patients are encouraged to come out of their rooms for daily activities and to eat in the dining room. The food for 3 square meals is prepared daily and was brought to the patients' room if need be. Daniel Flores deserves a big shout out. He impressed me with his caring approach and that he knew the names of all of the patients as well as all of the staff. I looked at 8 different assisted living facilities before selecting Harbor Chase, and I know I made the right choice of Harbor Chase. Move your loved one into this facility and rest easy that they will be well cared for each and every day. They made a usually difficult time for me easier to bare. Thank you!!!
Thank you Harbor chase for taking care of my aunt Marilyn Goldberg. The staff was excellent, professional, and caring. Harbor chase was always clean and neat, celebrating all holidays and kept the residents busy playing games. The nursing staff was also excellent and took great care of my aunt. I will definitely recommend Harbor Chase Memory Care to my neighbors and friends. Sincerely Richard Levine Granville neighborhood Association Tamarac President.
I brought my mom in this facility almost 5 weeks ago. Initially I was so nervous about leaving my mom here. But, the staff here calmed my fears. They are personable. They respond to questions and spend time explaining no matter what my concern may have been. Other families that I have come to know also seem happy as well. Laura, Marie, Daniel and Norma were the ones that started the help on my mommy’s new journey. Claudia, Destiny, Jocelyn are just a few of the hands on caregivers that I’ve grown to know. There are so many more I just don’t know all of their names. Lastly, the nurses are the best! My mom seems happy and that matters a lot. Thank You God for guiding us where we are right now.
