I've been here less than a year, but I am truly a part of this AG family. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Grounds are beautifully kept, Activities are well planned, food is delicious, and I'm HOME.
Ever since I sold my house and moved into my spacious 2BR 2BA apartment at Aston Gardens at The Courtyards, I have thoroughly enjoyed my new, stress-free living arrangements. The meals are quite good, and the recreational opportunities are terrific. All aspects of service have been highly satisfactory, from apartment maintenance and housekeeping to the dining room wait service. I am glad I finally made the decision to move to an excellent senior independent living community.
We have been here a year now and has been the best experience for both my husband and I. Food is good, staff is great - property is beautiful for walks. Everyone is so nice we feel at home and worry free. I would and have recommended this place to friends or anyone looking for a happy life.
Having lived here for 3 1/2 years now, I am still very happy with my decision to move into this Independent Living community. The physical appearance of the buildings is very homey because they are only 2 stories high and are surrounded by big beautiful oak trees and lovely landscaping. Everything is very well maintained.
The location is extremely convenient to stores, doctors' offices, a wonderful hospital, banks, and almost anything else a person would need for daily living. While I still have my own car, Aston Gardens at the Courtyards offers regular transportation services to all of the locations mentioned above plus for special trips out of the immediate area.
There are activities available for a variety of different interests, from parties to crafts, exercise classes, games, movies, sing-alongs, field trips, and educational offerings to name just a few. The people responsible for these activities work hard to keep them fresh and in line with what the residents want and like.
Anywhere you live, food is a very important part of life and the meals here are quite excellent. Everyone I have invited to eat here has been very impressed with the quality and variety of the food served in our lovely dining room. Mealtime also offers a chance to socialize and meet new friends. The casual atmosphere here is one of the things that really appeals to me.
Assisted Living and Memory Care are also a part of this community, right on the grounds within walking distance of the Independent Living apartments. My sister ended up needing to live in that building, and I will be forever grateful that she was so close by and easy to see regularly.
The residents here are quite friendly and caring of each other. It really does feel like a big extended family. And the people who work here in their many different capacities truly seem to be happy to help and serve us. Thank goodness some of them are young enough to help us with the world of technology!
Life here has been pleasant and interesting as well as safe and rewarding, and I hope to spend the rest of my life here - just as some of our longtime residents have managed to do.
I am new here but so far I am enjoying living here. Lots of nice people I’ve met.
