James★★★★★a month agoGoing to start out with five stars cuz the guys that picked her up were very cool and patient. I'm going to visit her tomorrow. Scope the place out. Hopefully my five star review won't change. I am concerned that four of the one-star reviews mention people drinking on the job. Sure the drinking bothers me, but seeing how they have all those painkillers around why would they fool around with booze? Just kidding.
Erica Rell★★★★★a year agoIf you are considering this assisted living, I wanted to share my experience with what I have consistently seen. The director Anthony and Charlie are something special! They have an open door policy and most of the time they will be found actively helping out a resident from sitting and talking, to planning a fun event for them, assuring their residents homes are as comfortable for them as possible. They really do make you feel special and it's a beautiful thing to witness so I felt inclined to share. Bravo to the staff at Aspire Beneva!
Lynn Rozuk★★★★★a year agoThe staff is physically abusive. The food nasty, the premises are filthy, especially bathrooms. Meals served in rooms. Administration is not available d/t meetings, they leave at 2pm.The medical NP took away my pain meds and demonstrated inadequate pharmaceutical knowledge. I am a APNP, CRNA for 40 years. So I can be judgemental. They Baker Acted me three times for yelling at my roommate watching TV 2/7
Darrell Z. DiZoglio★★★★★3 years agoMy Mom, has been in Beneva Lakes Assisted Living Center for two years now. I've visited twice for four weeks during that time, saw the staff operate, Nurses provide care and overall cleanliness daily. The facility is well maintained, the Nurses and Receptionists are ALL friendly and go out of the way to help. The rooms are large, there's a game room, a library, Nurses stations, daily package/mail delivery, and a nice dining room. Even the hallways always look good. My mom, unexpectedly lost her vision to cataracts, which makes double tough for her until cataract surgery, but she has been managing well with help from the staff. The one thing that all the residents here complain about is the food, but I am told they are working on improving it. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU TO ALL THE WONDERFUL NURSES AND RECEPTIONISTS THAT TAKE SUCH GOOD CARE OF MY MOM.
Deb Strow★★★★★3 years agoI lived there for 5 years and it has gotten worse as time went on. Fortunately the company finally fired the director recently. She almost got the facility closed down due to her inability to have compassion for the residents, coming to work hung over, been drinking plus she would yell at residents and staff in public areas. She was unprofessional and not qualified for the position. The promise that things are going to get better since hiring a new director and the issues will be corrected has been heard before and I have little faith that all the issues will be resolved especially the terrible food.
