I recently toured the assisted living community with Rodin, and I was extremely impressed. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. It was clear that he genuinely cares about the residents and their families. The community itself was warm, welcoming, and well-maintained. Rodin made the entire experience comfortable and informative, and I left feeling confident that this is a great place for seniors to call home. I would highly recommend scheduling a visit with him if you’re exploring assisted living options.
Rodin was exceptional to work with throughout our search for senior living options. He was welcoming, professional, and took the time to understand our family's needs and concerns. His knowledge of the community and willingness to answer every question made us feel confident and informed every step of the way.
The atmosphere at The Heron of Palm Coast was warm and inviting, and Rodin did a wonderful job showcasing everything the community has to offer. His compassion, patience, and genuine dedication to helping families find the right fit truly stood out.
We greatly appreciate the care and attention he provided and would highly recommend Rodin and The Heron of Palm Coast to anyone exploring senior living options for themselves or a loved one.
The food is stellar. The staff is friendly and helpful by & large. They ordered furniture for my room and put it together on site. I have a large closet, shower and sink for my personal use. These guys are doing everything right! I feel very fortunate to be here.
As a resident, I feel good about the property. I’ve been treated well and it’s been my home for quite a while. The staff here fought to make sure I was able to stay and the other resident makes this place feels like a family.
This review is directed toward the memory care staff and not the staff in the general population area which is very kind and helpful.
First off, the ladies who seem to run the memory care facility run it with an iron fist and seem to control its day to day operations independent from the Administrator and the rest of the administrative team. My loved one was transferred from the general population area to the memory care facility because she needed additional help do to her memory loss. Once she got there, things went downhill in a hurry with regard to her care. To be brief, her room is not cleaned regularly (and when it is, it is cleaned poorly). It should be noted that we have taken pictures and everything can proved. For example, soiled sheets/and the mattress protector were covered and even folded to cover-up human waste without being changed. Soiled diapers were thrown in an open trash can and left for who knows how long creating a horrible stench (to the extent that fans had to be brought into the room to air it out). Feces was found smeared on one of the walls without being cleaned and jewelry has been taken from around my loved ones neck. Clothes constantly go missing and as of this writing, her shampoo and body wash have gone missing as well (she is the only one in the room). When these issues (particularly the missing items) were brought to the attention of the one of the ladies, she covered her name badge and said that we needed to be carefull and should not be accusing people of stealing. When the stealing issue regarding the jewelry was brought to the attention of the Administrator, we suggested that we should file a police report, to which she said "go ahead and call the cops" with little concern to resolving the issue in house. She also said she would be willing to waive the notice to vacate fee if we wanted to leave without even attempting to investigate our complaint. I will say that there were a few good people that seemed to genuinely care about the well being of the residents in the memory care unit, unfortunately they have all left. My feeling, but this cannot be proven, is that they were targeted because they complained and were forced to leave as was told to me.
I could go on. Suffice it to say, that things need to be changed and we are working towards that end. Be aware.
