The Meridian was very nice. It has a beautiful lobby and indoor atrium area. It used to be an Embassy Suites. The workers were very nice, smiling and helpful. Jennifer showed me around and answered questions and helped me decide. The rooms were updated and they offer different styles and sizes. They have a library and theater room. I moved my mom in! She is happy there.
Had a great tour and can really tell they are improving a lot over there. The apartments are huge compared to the competition and they have updated a lot. When we make the decision to move our parents no doubt it will be to the Meridian at Westwood.
Meridian at Westwood is an upscale and caring environment for you loved one. My mom has been there a week. Between happy hours and chair aerobics she’s doing really well and seeing there is still life after a stroke.
The staff is absolutely fabulous. I have had meaningful interactions with folks from maintence to executive directors and so far they have all been warm, caring and proactive.
The medical director, Melissa is one of the hardest working executives I have seen. She is immersed in patient care and I am always shocked by how “on it” she is.
Victoria was our guide and sales lead- I think. The reason I caveat that is because nothing in my interactions with her felt like a sale. She seemed concerned with finding the right fit for my mom and being extremely transparent. I knew what everything would cost exactly. She’s become a bit of a touch stone and first line contact for us.
Hayley is one of my mom’s caregivers and she is amazing. My mom had a really bad mental health day due to her new circumstances and when I was unavailable she asked for Haley.
Last but not least, and overnight care giver, Jarome went out of his way and rearranged her furniture to make her room safer. He was also so sweet and respectful in his actions with me. I spoke to him on the phone but his action really helped her and significant reduced the chances of it happening again.
All in all. Would recommend!

I visited this with my Mom yesterday and it is a beautiful big place. A large atrium that feels like a fancy hotel surrounded by rooms on 5 floors. The dining room is gorgeous with fancy dinnerware. This place speaks of more independent living which my Mom liked. The rooms are bigger and the mini kitchen had a regular refrigerator, mini stove and oven. But after a few hand dish washing episodes, I think she would be down in dining hall. They have an activity book you can sign up to go places with. It feels like a more independent living, protected community than an assisted living facility.
My concern is more levels, more walking or rollating for my Dad to get from room to main level, and busyness of elevators at prime times and capacity size with wheel chairs and rollators inside. It might tend to make him stay in room more although my Mom would go out still. All in all both places we visited were lovely and more than I expected. It's all about what your wants and needs are in the end.
We recently moved our parents into The Meridian at Westwood, and we couldn’t be more impressed with the care and attention they’ve received. From day one, Jennifer and her team have gone above and beyond to ensure our parents felt welcome and comfortable in their new home. The level of professionalism and genuine kindness from the staff has truly exceeded our expectations.
Our parents love their new apartment—it’s spacious, beautifully designed, and provides them with plenty of room to live comfortably while allowing us to visit often without feeling crowded. The layout is perfect for them, offering all the conveniences they need while still feeling like home.
The Independent Living accommodations are exactly what we hoped for, and knowing that help is available immediately if anything comes up gives us peace of mind. The staff is always attentive and responsive, making sure every need is met with care and efficiency. It's reassuring to know that they will be there quickly if our parents ever need anything.
The facility itself is beautiful. The recent renovations have transformed it into a truly resort-style atmosphere. The common areas are inviting, beautifully decorated, and well-maintained. My father does get out much, but mom enjoys the various amenities and activities, which helps her stay engaged and active.
Overall, we feel so fortunate to have found The Meridian at Westwood for our parents. We hope to continue to have this same wonderful experience for years to come as they continue to get settled in. It’s a fantastic place, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Independent Living community with caring staff and a beautiful environment.
