From our very first visit, the entire team made the transition feel seamless and welcoming. Jenn took the time to brief us on everything Amavida has to offer, keeping a warm smile on her face while providing valuable resources to help guide our next steps. My grandfather is excited to move into such a wonderful community.
Alexandra was equally amazing throughout our tour—she was exceptionally patient and kind as she answered all of our questions, walked us through the floor plans, and highlighted the impressive amenities. Their combined support gave us total confidence in our decision, and we couldn't be happier with our experience thus far.
Researched and eventually decided on independent living in Amavida for a family member relocating here from NC. The entire process from meeting with Thomas and touring, to signing the contract and finalizing all arrangements with Alexandra and Jennifer has been seamless. Everyone with whom we have come in contact - from residents to staff - have been lovely. The facility is clean and beautiful and laid out well. The food service is exceptional and Kari has been so welcoming. There are tons of activities for every interest available daily and many trips outside of the complex. The two bedroom unit we chose is very nicely sized and it looked brand new when we received keys. Tim has been so responsive regarding a couple of glitches we came across. All things considered, this is a fabulous place at a reasonable price and my cousin is extremely happy. Highly recommend!
My mom has lived in Independent Living at Amavida for a little over two years. I live in Ohio but have spent a lot of time there due to work on her house in Sanibel since Hurricane Ian. I also manage my mom's affairs for her from afar. I am blown away by Amavida. First of all, their buildings and grounds are elegant and beautiful. Gorgeous decor and landscaping, with a nice courtyard in the center of the independent living building, a really nice movie theater, a really nice gym with personal training and PT/OT, two restaurants, I think three pools (at least one of which is heated), a library, an art studio, activity rooms, a salon, and probably more. The people who work there from the management down are top notch - consistently kind, caring, respectful, and service-oriented. They really value the dignity of the residents. The concierge desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff, porters, shuttle drivers, and security staff all work in concert to provide a safe, loving, fun environment for all who live there. I think the food is fantastic, and it varies. Their activities coordinator constantly provides fun and varied offerings and decorates beautifully for the season and holidays. The restaurants both have a bar. The office staff have been very helpful to me and are enthusiastically involved in community events like fashion shows and bake sales. There is coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available 24/7 in the lobby. The security staff is excellent and caring. I love it there. The staff have gone above and beyond in many ways for my mom. The people that work there seem to enjoy their work and have good senses of humor. It's a wonderful environment, and I highly recommend it. The residents are active and very involved. I'm attaching to this review some photos of the Train Room at Amavida, which is a creation of a group of Amavida residents. It's unbelievable.
My mother is in memory care at Amavida. She is doing well and is happy there. Ruth, the memory care manager is outstanding in getting the residents up and moving. My mother has never excersized but Ms. Ruth sure has a special way to get the residents up and about. She also shares photos with my brothers who live out of state. Love her.
My mom has lived in Amavida for several years now and really likes it. All of the staff are great. One of her caregivers, Ruth, even sends pictures and videos of mom doing fun activities. We are very happy.
