My sister has been at Legacy for 2 nice months now for assisted living. From move in to the daily care and atmosphere, we've had a very good experience. The daily medical care has been excellent, the staff is attentive, responsive and very welcoming.
Moving my 94 year old father to assisted living at Legacy was seamless. Everyone was helpful. Melanie was amazing. Dad has been there for a month now. I applaud management because every one on staff is friendly and helpful. Exceptional facility and team!
Very nice community in Castle Pines! Tucked away from any heavy traffic so it has a friendly neighborhood feel to it. I find the caregivers to go above and beyond at this community. Highly recommend!
5/4: Scheduled a 2pm tour from my retired parents who were visiting from out of town using the online scheduling tool on their website. I received an email confirmation for the scheduled tour and a text confirmation as well. Three days later we showed up for our tour and they had no idea we were coming. The guide showed up 10 minutes after the scheduled start time and she informed us that they only had 20 minutes because they had booked another tour during our scheduled time. This is inexcusable for an organization at this price point. If they can't handle basic tour scheduling for prospective customers, I certainly don't trust them to take care of my parents. Do not recommend.
5/18 Update: The office followed up, to let me know that the issue was with the online scheduling system. Apparently there was an internal conflict (bug) with a reservation I made at another facility that has the same parent company (and same scheduling software). Pretty big systemic failure. I was pleased that they took the time to research the problem and sent a follow-up. Hopefully they fix it. Adding one star for the follow-up effort. Only one chance to make a first impression!
The facility is lovely and they put on a great show for families. Unfortunately, when no one is looking, management stays locked behind their office doors and employees are left to their own devices to stare at their phones or bark orders at residents like they are animals. The good employees have been driven out by the low morale and negative energy. All that’s left are some terrible people who are good at faking. If you truly care about your loved one, be sure to consider other options.
The Colorado Department of Health and Human Services will soon be having a closer look for sure as I saw an unusual number of residents with black eyes, bruises, abrasions, and other serious injuries.
The Memory Care Manager just graduated from a for-profit institution with her Associates Degree. Generally, you would want a more qualified individual running the highest care level unit in the facility.
