Chelsea Place is a remarkable community for families seeking peace of mind when it comes to the care and well-being of their loved ones. The staff goes above and beyond to provide support, guidance, and answers to questions, while ensuring residents feel safe, engaged, well cared for, and, most importantly, heard and valued. It is truly a place where compassion and quality care come together, giving families the reassurance that their loved ones are in wonderful hands.
This facility is amazing. Unfortunately recently it was time to place my dear Mother in a facility for her safety. I live in North Carolina so it has been difficult to help with the process. This facility walked my also aging father through the process and are so very kind and you can definitely tell they all care and go above and beyond. I have seen quite a few facilities and this is by far the best I have ever encountered. Activity all the time whether it be a random dance party, simple card games ( for this who are capable) and there is always staff present. No setting your dear loved one in front of a TV ( I have seen this in several facilities) They encourage anyone who is capable to enjoy the activities and they know those who are and arent. From the front desk to the common room to the lovely terrace not only is it great for my mom when we are not there (but when we are we have multiple options when we visit. They also have activities come to the facility that can involve both your loved one and your family which makes the transition much easier. If you are in the fence or just looking for a place where you can bring your loved one and feel comfortable when you have to go home and get some rest from the very hard situation this is you would be choosing the correct place. My precious Momma is well taken care of. I would give a shout out to the Staff but they have all been just phenomenal. Even when I broke and went to tears the director took the time to take me in his office and listen. Just the best.
My Dad has been a resident here for six months, and his experience has been very good. I recommend Chelsea Place to anyone who needs a safe, clean, engaging place for their loved ones. Communication is excellent. Iva, the director, responds to calls and emails promptly and kindly. Visits are a treat, starting at the front desk, where Mona, Harriet, and Prairie greet you with a smile and make you feel like family. The food is excellent, thank you Kevin! Sandra keeps my Dad's room very clean. The caregivers are attentive, kind, and engaged. They love the residents and it shows every day. Thank you, Brenna, Sylvia, Maria, Briauna, Krisha, Douglas, Paola, Mitra, Christy, Jess, Shi, Florence, April, Rhoda Aynalem, Liz and Chaltu, for always being present and quick to assist, offer a kind word, and a hug for any resident or family member who wants one! I’m very happy that no matter what time of the day I drop in, the gathering room has a good number of staff on hand, and they are actively engaged with the residents. My Dad has been very happy here.
There is a phone number posted on the front door that will bring a staff member to the door anytime the lobby is unoccupied. I have been able to come and go at all hours.
The nursing team of Ashley and Eliza are wonderful to work with, responding immediately to urgent matters and on the same day to emails on routine questions.
Jeff, the maintenance manager, dropped what he was doing to assist me with some heavy things without being asked.
To all of you, and the rest of the staff, thank you!
Chelsea Place has provided the opportunity for an entirely new relationship with my mom. I get to visit her and have extended, genuine interactions while not having to worry about managing her home, food, laundry and prior in-home care. Mom is living her best life now, considering the circumstances. She has delightful meals, professional care in a bright, clean facility, and social interaction that we were not able to provide at home. In a situation where it seems like we have no easy decisions left, choosing Chelsea Place was a home run.
During the first two months starting with the initial assessment followed by the actual admission into Chelsea Place in Aurora, a total of nine employees have already shown excellent (and notable) care and concern for their new resident. Such employees have made a transition from a home environment into a memory care facility a pleasant and positive experience for all family members involved in this difficult decision.
These nine employees in various resident care positions are (named in no particular order): Kelly, Jessica, Harriett, Hewitt, Liz, Shi, Ashley, Tamara, and Andrea.
My apology for not recognizing other deserving staff members whom I have not yet interacted with.
