My good friend stayed at Oasis for the past year. Her private room was a big plus that many other facilities don't offer. Tamera and her staff were caring and attentive. They treated my friend with respect and dignity. They arranged on-site services for her when she needed them, such as medical care and hospice. The grounds are attractive, inviting, and always well-kept. I visited my friend several times per week and always she and her apartment were clean and cared-for. I recommend Oasis highly and without hesitation.
Ok, here’s the deal. I use to absolutely despise this community. The management and employees were just absolutely horrible and the could care less about the residents. My opinions have now changed. Allow me to explain. Earlier this year the manager somehow found someone to be her assistant. I don’t know what cloud or angel wing this assistant fell from, but let me just say, Michelle is an absolutely amazing individual. She is going to go far in this industry. Michelle went in and immediately started making positive changes. She is very communicative, she follows through on EVERYTHING and works her tail off. Michelle make certain that each and every resident is taken care of to fullest and that is a BIG plus. There has been a lot of turnover in this community, but I believe it’s because Michelle and the manager what the very best for their residents. I was actually there not that long to visit a friend and Michelle walked into the dining hall where most of all the residents were as it was dinner time, as soon as she walked in almost all the residents perked up and instantly started waiving her in their direction with smiles from ear to ear. They all just adored her. She hugged a few and then announced to all the residents that she was leaving for the day and she would see them in the morning. This melted my heart. I asked my friend why they all liked her so much and she told me it was because Michelle was the only one that has ever showed them such compassion and worked so hard make sure their needs were met. She also said Michelle goes to each resident every morning to say good morning and to ask how their night was and every evening when she would leave as I witnessed that evening. My friend says every trusts Michelle and feel much calmer and safe. I thought this was just amazing and wanted to share that I believe the community is heading in a positive direction and Michelle has a lot to do with it. Kudos to JoAnn for being so lucky to have found Michelle and can now rest herself. To the owner, take care of these two women as they are certainly taking care of The Oasis. God bless. :)
The Oasis Assisted Living Community is VERY well managed. The staff are extremely focused, caring and responsive. My brother has been in their care for well over a year and I feel he is very safe there and we can always get a hold of the staff if we have any special needs, questions or concerns.
One thing that means so much to my brother is he has his own room which is quite spacious. It has multiple windows for him to enjoy the view of the outside grounds. It includes a bathroom with shower, a kitchen nook for a coffee pot, a sink, cabinets, etc.
This unit was remodeled for my brother prior to moving in which we really appreciated.
The food quality and variety has been a challenge but I know the management is working diligently to correct that.
Overall I highly recommend this facility and thank them for their excellent care.
My mother moved into Oasis 11 months ago. The process was concise, simple, hassle free, and instructions were clear. At the onset I informed Tamara, the manager, of my mother's "issues." Tamara kindly informed me that she had many years experience and was up for the challenge. My mother's room was spacious and it was especially comforting that my mother was encouraged to bring personal belongings. The room was well maintained. The grounds are spectacular, well manicured with multiple seating areas sprinkled among flowers and trees. The dining room serves as an area for residences to eat, as well as, lounge. The staff are well trained, very kind, and truly are compassionate about their residences. Problems were addressed quickly and consideration was given to each issue. I applauded that a "one size fits all" remedy was not the standard solution. Unfortunately, my mother''s "issues" escalated requiring her to relocate. Nonetheless, Tamara and her staff handled it all with finesse and professionalism. I highly recommend this facility.
My brother was a resident and loved it. The staff is so caring. They treated him like family. They always were very friendly to me and willing to answers any questions I had. The rooms are spacious and private. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. He raved about how good the food was.
He truly thought of Oasis as home. He was taken care of with so much love.
I’m so thankful to Tamera, Laura, Carla and staff for taking such good care of my brother.
I highly recommend Oasis for your loved one.
